Or, the sender?
'80 Lola CF with Ford 1600 and dry sump.
Oil temp gauge does not seem to be registering oil temp. I have started and warmed engine thoroughly (water temp 100+ C) and oil tank is hot. However, gauge barely registers - maybe a 5 degree change. (photo shows gauge type - increase when hot is from 30 to 40)
Drained oil and pulled out the sender. How do I check to see if sender is working?
Back of gauge where slightly rusty oil temp wire from sender is "plugged" into gauge. How do I remove/unplug this wire? How do I check gauge?
Thanks all!
