I've removed my gearbox for the first time to replace the clutch assembly on a FF. Had a tough time, but learned what not to do now on the removal.
I started to reassemble but am have a hard time getting the Hewland to mate up to the engine. I already installed the adapter ring to the gearbox and am wiggling, shaking, twisting etc but can't quite get it to mate to the engine. A few attempts it felt like I had the shaft started in the clutch grooves, but that's about as far as I could get it in there. It's a tight fit and I've even tilted the engine up a few degrees to give me some room to bring in the gearbox.
Any pointers to make this easier?
Thanks. :meatball:
