Hi, this may be a stupid question but I am about to fire the old girl up. I have an 8 quart oil tank (see pic). How much oil do I put in it? I seem to recall it being just over the plate in the inside, is this correct. I plan to fire it up, run it for a while then drain the oil. Should I just go with a synthetic or something else. The motor is new (as in new old stock) but has not been run since first dyno testing back in the 70s. Have done a leak down and all is good. Been turned over regularly and turns freely. It was stored with some bright red oil which was in it when it was dynoed. Thanks for any help.
