Hi,
I am trying to find out any performance related information about a couple of Formula Ford Kent cylinder heads I have.
One is stamped “JO CCH SW1” on the intake mating surface, which I believe indicates that was ported by Jim Ortell of Competition Cylinder Heads. It is painted black, has yellow striped valve springs, and based on the head gasket surface to valve cover mating surface measurement (3.2 inches), has not been resurfaced.
The other cylinder head is stamped, on three lines, “0035 USA, 5-4-90, RLL.” From a similar measurement, it looks like it has been resurfaced, cut 0.015 inches. It is also painted black and came on an engine with an “831C 6015 R34” block, without the “AX “ marking. From what I have found elsewhere on the web, it is likely a Ford Motorsports block from the UK( it does have the “sundial” figure cast into the block), so the head might have come from the UK as well.
Best regards,
Lowell
