FORMULA 600 CHALLENGE: NEWS FROM THE 2014 PRI SHOW
We learned a lot while we talked with the many visitors our booth attracted. Some of the more interesting items of note are as follows:
1. We gave out 250 handouts during the course of the show, this is far more than we guessed would be needed.
2. Charlotte Motor Speedway is upgrading their infield portion of their road course from .7 mile long, 25 feet wide to 1.7 miles long and 40 feet wide. This should make CMS a very attractive Challenge Series venue in the future.
3. Humpy Wheeler spent some time at our booth and was thinking about having a F600 exhibition at one of his races.
4. As the series grows rapidly through new drivers and conversions on the eastern side of the states, more and more drivers from the west coast are showing interest in the F600 Challenge coming west. With all the interest that has been shown there may be a second series running in the western states under The Formula 600 Challenge Series maybe as early as 2016.
5. The D.B. Wildcat introduction was a big success. From tall to short, thin to wide, everyone fits in the huge cockpit (even Jim Murphy!) proving once and for all that If you have the will to race, the D.B. Wildcat F600 will accommodate the biggest driver.
6. Carl had a good conversation with the new Formula Lite folks, more to come on that.
7. With all of the new interest in F600 Challenge Series shown at the PRI show, the 2015 race schedule got changed several times each day during the show.
We are very thankful for our sponsors who have made this series possible:

The Formula 600 Challenge Series was developed to help promote an affordable open wheel formula car to showcase talent without large financial race budgets. The Formula 600 open wheel cars use a 600cc motorcycle engine and a 6 speed sequential transmission revving up to 15,000 rpm with speeds in excess of 135 mph. The sound of this drive train is likened to a F1 car.
